South Shore Sundays

South Shore Sunday depicts my footage captured from surf sessions streamed from January to April of 2009 on Oahu. This short surf movie is my second that I have done, and if you haven’t seen the first please feel free to view it here. Although surfing and being in Hawaii’s waters is my first passion, filming and editing surf movies is a close follow up. I love watching surf movies in general, but it’s pretty sweet to watch your own too. It serves as both a reminder of our experiences as well as a way to share the experiences with all of you.  I hope you enjoy the film, and I welcome all and any feedback you may have. Cheers for watching guys!

Awesome! Loved it! Where is the “no urchins were hurt during filming” disclosure? :))) Delighted to see a few of my shots to make it in, expecting royalties. Love you! 🙂

  3. niicee. i liked it (:

  4. Awesome video! Keep up the good work!

  5. Cheers for stopping by guys, glad you liked it! Some urchin were hurt in the process, when they stabbed me in my finger 42 times!

  6. Cool stuff Dan and definitely got me in the mood! What camera did you sue for the water shots?

  7. Cheers for watching Roxanne! I used an Olympus Stylus 1030SW. Its a good underwater camera with decent photo quality too.

  8. the shot of your serious grill is irreplaceable… kudos kiiiiiiiiiid!

  9. Awesome post, great footage big mahalo for sharing this!

  10. Cheers for visiting Bruce, glad you enjoyed the footage!

  11. I reaaaaally enjoyed that. Great choice of music too. These flip cams have good resolution, but unfortunately I have yet to see one that, after compression doesn’t look like it’s footage from the 1950’s TV show Hawaii 5-0. The colors are just washed out completely – yes?

I really have been missing the waves lately. Been in Thailand since 2004 and thought – there MUST be waves in Thailand – there’s like 1000 miles of beach here… Guess what? Nothing but slop in Phuket or Khao Lak and I’m not about the slop.

Will get back someday – will keep your videos easy to reach here for days when my hands are trembling after years of no waves.

Enjoying your blog. I write at AimforAwesome mostly. Lots of Hawaii stuff, my experiences almost dying while bodyboarding on Oahu (twice). stuff like that… good luck with your internet marketing efforts! – Vern

  12. Hey Vern. Really appreciate you stopping by and leaving the kind words. Too bad about the Thailand surf, but I’m sure you’re finding all kinds of ways to enjoy the country. I’ve always wanted to visit, but I suppose now I know it won’t be for the surf. Hopefully I’ll have another movie to share after the summer, where some size should hit. Stay tuned brother…
